Privacy policy

This page describes the kind of personal infomation that we collect, how it's used, and your rights in regard to it. Please also read our terms of use, which also relate to personal information.

The short version is that we only collect the personal information which we need to. We use third party services for payment processing, order fulfillment and website analytics. We respect your privacy and protect any information you share with us.

Personal information from your Git repository

In order to create our products we analyse metadata from your Git repository which can contain personal information (e.g. the names of committers). This metadata is stored for one week to allow you to try out different designs. We will also email you a link which allows you to delete the metadata sooner if you prefer.

Your email address

When analysing your repository we ask for your email address, in order to send you a link to the resulting designs and also the link which allows you to later delete them. This email address is not stored or shared with any third parties.

If you enter your email address to subscribe for updates on Work/Artwork we will send you occasional messages, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email.

Order information

If you make an order from Work/Artwork we ask for your billing and delivery addresses. This information is shared securely with our payment partner (Stripe) to validate your payment and to detect fraud. Stripe will also collect your email address. This information will only be used to fulfil your order, which will include sharing some details with our fulfilment and shipping partners. Your name and billing address will be stored only as long as necessary for accounting purposes and legal obligations.

Please read Stripe's privacy policy for more information on how they process and protect personal information.

Logs and analytics

Work/Artwork follows the standard practice of storing log files of access to our services in order to ensure that our site is working correctly and to help understand its usage. We do not store any personally identifiable information in such logs.

We also use Google Analytics to analyse usage of the site in order to improve our users' experience. In our integration of Google Analytics we have disabled the setting of cookies and the use of other means of storing data on your browser, however Google may still read cookies which have already been set.
